Christ Is a Lifestlye.

June 11, 2009

Believing in He who made us is more than just church as ussual. we often teach Christ but don’t show Christ, we must display Christ daily not just when its cool and convenient for us. Christ is more than a pendent around your neck or a cross on your shirt. Those things don’t make us believers because our faith in Him is found in our actions. Christ is a Lifestyle, so live Christ.

Halla back. J1

Salvation Or Decision? You Decide.

May 27, 2009

A good friend of mine asked me to answer these two questions on Facebook. I’d like to know what you think.

Questions
1. As Christians should we teach our kids Creation or Evolution?

2. Is this question a disputable matter (2 Timothy 2:23-24) or is this a Salvation issue?

What do you think?

Case of the Mondays

February 16, 2009

A friend/business partner/brother-in-Christ and I were standing in the church kitchen Sunday morning on our normal routine when we began to talk about our life’s work. What we wanted to do.How we wanted to do it. When we wanted to do it. Who we’d want to do it with. This conversation carried on over the course of an hour (we were supposed to be doing something else, but got side tracked with our conversation – (sorry Pop). At the point of our reluctant end, we decided to try and conclude on a positive note by posing this question to each other: How do we carry this passion over into Monday?

Many times, fabulous ideas are spontaneously created in random thought or conversation and in the same moment, fizzle out with the soda we drank. How do we carry this intensity of thought into reality through pursuit? How do we get our ideas from restaurant napkins to paper? How do we convince ourselves that the witty idea God has given is worth the effort?

First, we have to understand where the gift comes from. The Bible says, every good and perfect gift comes from God. So once we convince ourselves that the gift is from God and not some lofty product of random thought, we should then automatically be convinced of its worth. (Most people fail before they even attempt because of their disbelief in themselves and the product/service they possess.) If that’s not enough, we must then understand that God wouldn’t give us more than we can bear. This should reassure us of God’s confidence in our ability. If that’s not enough, we must understand that whom god chooses, he equips.

All the above considered, I close with this: the kingdom advances by force – don’t bury your talent – write the vision, make it plain – meditate on his word day and night – if I (Christ) be lifted up…… (translation) aggressively pursue the ideas God has given you – don’t sit on them with the fear of failing – take those ideas of the IHOP napkins and prepare them for the action - get passionate about what God has given you and take it to heart  – and if you keep your motives genuine and God first, success is imminent and the kingdom will advance because of your willingness.

Another Apology….
